I’ve owned almost a dozen “lead sleds” and I’ve found my trimarans to be much safer. It is ignorance and ego which leaves the fastest boats from competing. I will repeat what I was told 20 years before owning my first Tri ..”if you ever actually sail a trimaran you will never have another monohull” … it was true.

And why does a stalled engine contribute to anything during a bad gybe? And don’t tell me that the engine was necessary for charging electronics at that particular time, sailor. Maybe you should rethink your career options.

I am getting sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, watching it, snorrrr.
Lets see a foiling video from BP in the southern ocean during a storm at dawn or twilight.
Oh that’s right there isn’t any!

If we want match race fight, the way is mono-hull
If we want high tech drag-race boat, the way is the actual AC multi-hull
But considering that fight is better, cost reduction is always on nowadays, and Vendee Globe has showed that mono-hull can foil even better the solution is mon-hull with foil… ahhh and send to ground all hydraulic device and lift some real grinders….

Now he has written rules that favor the defender. What happened to best of seven?
Grow some balls Larry and drop the two points up crap and start even like they did with the 12 meter races. Then who ever wins has won it fair and square.

Get a helicopter with video coverage at each end of the course. If there is an infraction take it to the jury after the race. They come to race so let them race.

Radical thinkers and people with creative insight and imaginations to think way beyond the present day accepted limitations are the way of the future !
Look how far the automotive and aircraft industry have come in the last 150 years ! The development of completely new materials and new ways of using them and new ideas is were we should be at !
Its time to get out of those carbon dugout canoes and took a few more steps forward and became adventurous to try something that’s never been done before !
